How to Join East Lumberton Baptist Church

At the close of each worship service the pastor will extend and invitation. During this time you may respond by coming forward.  Listed below are ways you may present yourself for membership at  East Lumberton Baptist Church.

By profession of faith and baptism
If you will receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord and follow Him in baptism by immersion, you will be welcomed into our fellowship.

By transfer of letter
If you are a member of another Baptist church and wish to join our fellowship your membership will be transferred. The church office will take care of contacting the church you are coming from to secure you church letter.

By baptism from another denomination
If you know you have accepted Christ as your Savior but were not baptized by immersion after salvation, you may join East Lumberton Baptist Church by baptism. This act shows your obedience to Christ’s example in baptism.

By Statement
If church membership records are not available for a transfer of membership, but you know you have accepted Christ as your savior and have been baptized by immersion after salvation, we will accept you upon your statement of faith.
